THE ‘ART DECO’ TRAIN WRECK

A train derailed while crossing a bridge in the pre-WWII era. Many freight cars fell into the adjacent lake and sank. At least one such car was carrying a large shipment of (now highly collectible) art deco bathroom sinks and fixtures. Ca. 40’ to 70’ depths.

Recovery operations will involve teams of qualified sport divers supervised by commercial divers. The salvaged items can be showcased in well-publicised events at annual tradeshows such as Kitchen & Bath China and Kitchen and Bath Industry. Subsequently, all will be sold at auction.

Good subject for an episode in the AR series.
