THE ‘GREAT WAR’ SUNKEN FIGHTERS

During training flights, a handful of very rare World War I fighter aircraft crashed and sank. There were no crew casualties, and the aircraft were not carrying bombs. The aircraft are likely encased in mud.

Recovery operations will involve qualified sport divers supervised by commercial divers.

Possibly a good subject for an episode in the AR series.
